- Represented land developers in drafting deed restrictions and identifying and granting utility easements.
- Represented homeowners for warranty claims against corporate builder, negotiating settlement to reimburse homeowner for necessary home repairs.
- Represented landowner in negotiating a lease and easement agreement with national company.
- Represented business owner in the negotiating, settlement and release of improperly filed mechanic’s liens clouding his title.

Business Law
Clint James, P.C. has helped many individuals start their own businesses. These representations include negotiating, drafting and filing formation documents for Limited Liability Companies, Limited Partnerships, and Corporations. Additional representations for business law have included:
- Represented buyers in negotiating and executing the purchase of a business and coordinating same with bank financing and clients’ tax advisors and accountants.
- Represented sellers in negotiating and executing the sale of their business.
- Advised financial institution on structure and documentation for SBA construction loan to local business, advising on use of in-house documents and attorney drafted documents.
- Advised individual on various regulations and licensure requirements applicable to starting a business in the transportation industry.
- Defended and prosecuted client’s commercial litigation claims in federal court.
Estate Planning
- Drafted and implemented estate plan for small business owner with high net worth, including drafting of wills and trust documents and coordinating the transfer of properties and business interests.
- Drafted wills, powers of attorney, medical powers of attorney, physicians’ directives (living wills), and declarations of guardianship for many clients.
- Represented elderly clients seeking Medicaid eligibility and qualification for nursing home.
- Represented executors or administrators of estates in probate of estate and settlement of estate including inventory, notice to beneficiaries and creditors and performed required property transfers.
- Asserted claims of heir in a contested probate proceeding lasting over nine years, negotiating favorable settlement for our client less than three months after we were engaged.
